More Than a Sock: Honoring the "Sarinah" B-25 Mitchell

More Than a Sock: Honoring the "Sarinah" B-25 Mitchell

Aviation preservation is a labor of love. When you see the B-25J "Sarinah" bank over a Dutch airfield, you aren't just seeing a machine; you’re seeing thousands of volunteer hours and a deep respect for the pilots of the 18th (Netherlands East Indies) Squadron.

At Heel Tread, we wanted to contribute to that mission. We worked closely with the Royal Netherlands Air Force Historical Flight Foundation (KLuHV) to ensure our newest custom design did justice to Serial No. 44-29507.

The design process was meticulous. We focused on the high-contrast silver of the Mitchell’s skin and the vibrant colours of the Dutch roundels. But the star of the show is the "Sarinah" nose art—a symbol of identity and home for crews stationed far from the Netherlands.

By wearing these socks, you aren't just sporting a cool pattern. You’re helping fuel the engines of history.

Whether you’re a pilot, a history buff, or just a fan of Dutch heritage, the Sarinah socks allow you to take the spirit of the B-25 with you every step of the way.
