Oxford & Cambridge Socks
In September 1955, two Land Rover Series I station wagons left Hyde Park with six students, a stack of tinned rations and no real idea what lay between London and Singapore. Six months and 18,000 miles later, having crossed sixteen countries on grit and a great deal of Dunlop rubber, they got there — the first Land Rovers ever to drive it overland. We named this pair after them: sky blue for the open road, navy for the marque, and the mileage stitched in red exactly where two exhausted engineers would have wanted to see it — under their own feet. Eighteen thousand miles, one pair of socks. Shop the expedition.
80% Combed Cotton, 17% Polyamide, 3% Elastane. We use seamless knitting to create a sock with no stitches. Wash inside out (40ºC/100ºF max). Do not tumble dry, iron, bleach or dry clean.
