In 1981, Ayrton Senna made his competitive mark behind the wheel of a Van Diemen RF81, a car that, though humble in power, was monumental in purpose. It was in this vehicle that Senna began to show the raw talent, intensity, and drive that would later define one of the most legendary careers in motorsport history.
Today, that very car is preserved at the Museu do Caramulo in Portugal—a time capsule of racing heritage and a powerful reminder of where greatness begins.
Our Design Story
