Type 35B Socks
The Bugatti Type 35 is one of the most successful racing cars of all time. But don’t just take our word for it: the French manufacturer's open-top sports car secured over 2000 victories between 1924 and 1930.
With its 215 km/h top speed, the Type 35B wasn’t just a remarkable sports car – it was an elegant, light (thanks to its aluminium body and wheels, an absolute novelty) and strong vehicle that set the bar for many more to come.
The original Type 35 underwent a series of modifications and improvements to make it even more competitive. From 1500 cc it grew to 1800 cc, holding a huge supercharger that made it the beacon for race cars in the late 20’s and early 30’s. Oh, and it went on to win not one, but two Monaco Grand Prix – not bad, right?
The particular Bugatti Type 35B that inspired this Collab, a part of Museu do Caramulo’s collection, is considered one of the most original, rare and valuable Bugattis in the world.80% Combed Cotton, 17% Polyamide, 3% Elastane. We use seamless knitting to create a sock with no stitches. Wash inside out (40ºC/100ºF max). Do not tumble dry, iron, bleach or dry clean.
